FIT MODELS - WHAT SIZES ARE NEEDED TO BE A FITTING MODEL?

Every time I meet models that are interested in FITTING, I realize how much confusion surrounds the industry. For the small group that actually FIT for a living, these models know that maintaining their size is key to a FIT MODELS success.
Most models think that you need to be 5'10 and a size 0 or 2, but actually for FITTING the sizing is quite different. Many of the designers are more focused on FIT to sell to the general public, and since the general public is not 5'10 and wearing a size 0 , the truth remains that for the rest of us we need to find clothing that actually FITS!
So, that is why the FIT sizes range depending on the designer and the customer they are trying to sell their product to. So, for a general guideline, the FIT SIZES go from juniors, to missy, to contemporary and plus sizes.
In the missy contemporary sizes the range falls between 4, 6, and 8 - sometimes 10 - 12 will also be a size for a more missy FIT.
For juniors the range can go from 5, 7, and 9 and again plus sizes will also FIT JUNIORS.
So, as you can see, there is an array of sizes, and it really depends on the manufacturer and what their design team deems the perfect size.
