MODEL SPOTLIGHT - RACECAR DRIVER ASHLEY!

Ok all you race fans, you are going to love this. One of our models is a racecar driver!

Yes, she is fast and beautiful! Ashley has been busy on the road and off. With an amazing career in modeling and racing, it is easy to see why Ashley is sought after in her field...

Almost born into the trade, Ashley Van Dyke is a rare commodity. Having grown up around her family's motorsports facility, she quickly immersed herself into the automotive culture. Her good looks, sophisticated charms and talent in front of the camera are her strengths, but so too is her natural ability behind the wheel of a car.

Ashley has served as both on-air talent and as a driver for a wide range of clients, marketing programs and television shows. In 2007, she served as on-air talent and co-host to Tommy Kendall for a SPEED TV program dubbed "Setup." In 2006, she drove a Porsche GT3 in the CHP Foundation rally where she was given a test in F3000 cars. She also scored a top 10 finish in her Mercedes E55 in the 2006 Bullrun and went on to serve as a host for the SPIKE rendition of the Bullrun event. At about the same time, she served as on air talent for WebRides TV, an online broad band network. Prior to this, she cut her teeth in high speed road rallies on the "Player's Run," a high profile, high speed road rally not for the weak of heart.

Most recently her achievement winning the Gumball 3000 USA with expert copilot, Eric Ward, has led to a more international platform. Her attention from the European market has grown strong since the debut of her first rally, Playersrun, television and movie exlotiots. In November Ashley will be running track days at the Nurnbergring in Germany with Road magazine and Vredestein Tires.

Behind the scenes, Ashley has also served in leadership roles for a variety of automotive and fashion events handling everything from logistics to talent recruitment. This well-rounded experience and natural ability both in front of the camera and behind the scenes provides a strong balance of capabilities and understanding that makes her truly unique.

READY TO MODEL...

Last week we had a new model come in to meet for fit model representation.
We sent her to see on of our clients, and we were pleasantly surprised when the client emailed us to let us know how refreshing it was to have a model come prepared.
For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, being prepared means that even on an interview, you arrive with a bag of additional shoes, undergarments, cosmetics, and and of course your portfolio and comp cards. As a model you are in the business of standing out, and in a competitive business like modeling, wouldn't you like to know that just being prepared could be the difference between booking and not?

Model workouts!

So we all had a great time over the holidays with all of the great food, yummy holidays drinks and cold weather keeping us indoors. Now that January has rolled around, some of us have found that we feel a little bigger than usual.
I can always tell when models had a great time, the clients will call and so...
"The model we used looked a little bigger this time"
That of course is our cue to let you know that it is time to get back to eating healthy, and getting some exercise. DO NOT GO ON A DIET!!! REPEAT...DO NOT GO ON A DIET!!! As an agent my focus is that you remain healthy, not go crash dieting, and believe me, when I see you I know the difference. So, the key is walking. Yes, walking. If you feel like you have added a little to the middle, just add a walk to your day. Try a couple of miles, you will be surprised how fast that goes.
Remember that your body benefits the most when you stay active. Just look at Jack La Lanne... he has been around since I was a child and he is still vibrant and healthy.
Be well, and let's get booking!

Maximizing your time!

So here we are starting a new year, planning our success, and adhering to our new years resolutions! I keep having a thought running through my mind that if you are doing the same things the same way you did a year ago, then you will get the same results today. For anything to change, you must change how you do things.
I know many of you have other abilities that you are honing, so I thought I would recommend a book that really has opened my eyes to the way we do things and why.
I guess the main question is are you living now? Are you doing the things you want to do inbetween booking work? Do you actaully know what you want? If you could do something or have something, what would it be if you could have it now?
With this in mind, I have realized especially after surving cancer, that we do not know how long we are here. I also have realized that I do not want to wait do the things that interest me. The real trick here is how to finance your dreams now.
If you are lucky enough to be able to book modeling jobs, then in your down time, you should be lucky enough to enjoy your life.
If any of these ideas interest you, I recommend reading "The Four Hour Work Week" by Tim Ferris. There are countless ideas of how to leverage your time and live now.
I know that anyone that reads this book will be amazed at the information the author offers to anyone willing to make their own rules and live now.
